The Vattikuti Foundation will select the institution, based on the applicant’s needs.  Please note: This is a highly competitive programApplicants may apply for one (1) or two (2) Fellowships on their application, based on their qualifications.  If you do wish to be considered for more than one Fellowship, please list them in order of preference.  By applying, you certify that you are willing and able to relocate to any location within India the Fellowship would be hosted at. Applicants should be within 10-years of earning their advanced degree in a specialty which currently uses surgical robotics.

Vattikuti Fellowship entries must include:

(Files named "fellowship application,'  'Vattikuti' or similar- will not be considered!)  Early entries are encouraged, due to the volume of applications expected, but all will be processed and considered.  All Awards, Publications and achievements in Medicine count.  Make your application the best it can be!

About the Vattikuti Foundation Fellowships:

The Vattikuti Foundation (VF) is a charitable organization established by Raj and Padma Vattikuti to advance the treatment of Cancers. The Foundation’s flagship institute, the Vattikuti Urology Institute at Henry Ford Hospital, under Founding Director Dr. Mani Menon has been recognized as the pioneering institution of robotic surgery. Since its establishment, the Vattikuti Foundation (VF) has consistently invested significant resources in advancing the cause of computer-assisted surgery. The VF has played a crucial role in establishing robotic surgery in India. Its mission involves high quality training of surgeons through its supported network of institutions in India, United States, Europe and United Kingdom.  Global collaborative initiatives have been established to develop surgical innovations.  Another Vattikuti Foundation accomplishment has been to maintain high quality robotic procedure patient outcomes data from multiple global partners to support scientific journal research.

The objective of the Vattikuti Foundation Fellowship Program is to create highly trained Indian surgeons in the field of robotic surgery by providing these one-year Fellowships.  The intent is that when the Fellowships conclude, Vattikuti Fellows will be proficient in the management of cancers in his or her specialty, including robotic surgery.  Another aspect of these Fellowships is to advance the academic research abilities of our Fellows.  Besides intensive specialty-specific training, programs include: participation in the Vattikuti Collective Quality Initiative robotic surgery database program (VCQI); plus attendance at Robotic Surgeons Council of India meetings.  Former Vattikuti Fellows have been placed in institutions across India and around the world.
