Vattikuti Urology Institute, Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan, USA
The Vattikuti Urology Institute was established in 2001 by the Vattikuti Foundation at Henry Ford Hospital with the purpose to further research in prostatic cancer and robotic surgery. Dr. Mani Menon, Chair of the Vattikuti Urology Institute, invented the Vattikuti Institute Prostatectomy (VIP), a robotic surgery procedure to help patients with prostate cancer. Dr. Menon and his team have pioneered many procedures over the past ten years and have completed over 10,000 cases dealing with prostatectomies, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, and paediatric urology. Patients have come from across the United States and all over the world to participate in cutting-edge, minimally invasive procedures that have improved their lives. The Vattikuti Urology Institute is known globally for the superior training, procedures, staff, and patient care that have evolved over the years.
